The Great (British) Escape

Perfect for newbies to motorbike holidays

A 5-day motorcycle adventure that takes you through some of the UK’s most scenic countryside and historic sites. Starting and ending at the iconic Bike Shed in London, this tour includes unique experiences like visiting Cheddar Gorge, exploring prehistoric Kent Caverns, marvelling at classic vehicles in the National Motor Museum, and spending the night in the (apparently haunted) oldest prison in England.

Itinerary

Day one

Start your journey from the iconic Bike Shed in London. Ride through scenic countryside, stopping at the medieval Bodiam Castle for a tour and lunch. Arrive in Southampton for the evening, where you can enjoy the city’s historic charm at your leisure.

Day two

Depart Southampton and head to the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, exploring its fascinating collection of classic vehicles. Continue the ride to the world-renowned coastal landmark of Durdle Door before arriving in Weymouth for an evening by the sea, to spend however you fancy.

Day three

Begin the day exploring Portland Castle or the town of Weymouth, then ride to Lyme Regis for lunch by the coast. Visit the ancient Kent Caverns en route to Torquay, where you’ll relax and enjoy the vibrant harbour atmosphere.

Day four

Leave Torquay for a scenic ride through Cheddar Gorge, taking in its stunning views and stopping for lunch. Then, we'll be locking you into Shepton Mallet for the night - you'll be given your sleeping gear and be trapped overnight in this historic, haunted prison!

Day five

Finish the tour with a visit to Woodhenge, the other henge that's also an ancient prehistoric landmark, before returning to London via the world-famous Ace Cafe. Celebrate the conclusion of your adventure back at the Bike Shed.
