What makes Fervour holidays different?



We don't just like to ride motorcycles. We like to think of our trips as great holidays, with motorbikes included. We'll find unique attractions and experiences, give you plenty of time off the bike as well as on it, and the tour guides work as concierges so they can help you with whatever you like.

This is my first time on a motorbike holiday. What is it like?



Don't worry, we're here to make sure you have a great time. Our motorbike holidays are relaxed and low-pressure. Our guides ride a specific route from place to place, and you can choose to follow along, or go your own way.

You'll have plenty of time to explore locations along the journey, and if you want to spend more time in a certain place, go for it!

We handle everything like transport trains and ferries, hotels and breakfast, and give you GPS files for the route. You just need to fill up the motorbike, and any parking or toll fees (though we'll try to avoid any of these).

What are the different ticket options?



Single rider, own room
If you're riding your own bike and would like to stay in a room by yourself, pick this option. Each room will have either a single, or double bed.

Single rider, sharing a room
To ride your own bike but save a bit of money, you can choose this option to share a room with another single motorbike rider. We'll need an even number of riders for this option, so it's possible it won't always be available. You'll be paired with a rider of the same gender. Each room will have twin beds (usually singles).

Rider & pillion, one room
If you're sharing your bike with someone on the back, and you'd like to share a room, this is the option for you. Each room will have a double bed.

Want something else?
If you have a different setup - perhaps you're riding with a pillion but would like two rooms, or you would like to upgrade your room to something more special, just let us know.

What are the hotels like?



We have discerning tastes, so we always try to find the best hotels we can. We'll use a combination of international brands and independent hotels. We never use hostels, but will sometimes find B&Bs.

Usually, they will have a private car park. Each room will be ensuite unless otherwise indicated.

Full details of the rooms we book for you will be available 60 days before travel, when you get your full digital guidebook.

Can I upgrade my room?



In many cases, yes! Just get in touch and we'll go through options with you.

What does the support van do?



On most of our tours, we provide a support van. It can carry your luggage and souvenirs, so you don't have to strap them to your bike - just leave them at the hotel and we'll handle the rest.

It's also there to carry any bikes that have a fault, and in longer trips, we may even have a spare bike on board.

The van isn't there to carry passengers unless in emergency or breakdown, though.

How much luggage can I bring?



Unless otherwise stated, you can bring a 20kg case and a 5kg personal item/rucksack to stow on the support van. Think of it a bit like a plane luggage allowance!

What is included in a Fervour holiday?



All the inclusions and exclusions tend to be listed - think of it like a 'cruise on land'. We'll guide you from place to place, and handle your accommodation and breakfast, and any other transport. We might also include tickets to some attractions too.

I'm a relaxed rider. Will I slow down the group?



No! We make sure that everyone has a great time, and is able to go at their own pace. If you want to go quicker than the rest of the group, then you're welcome to - we'll give you the route files for your sat nav, and you can go whichever way you like.

But in many places, you'll want to slow down for the view, anyway!

I'm not a confident rider, is this for me?



Obviously, we'll be on the road a lot and you'll need to be comfortable with your bike's controls, and be able to ride your bike safely up to the speed limit.

We'll never leave you behind, and our guides will make sure you have a lovely time. They were also new riders once, and by the time you get home, you'll feel much more confident. We promise!

How much riding will there be?



We aim to plot less than 300km of riding per day. This means we'll be on the road for a maximum of 4 hours or so, depending on what we're looking at.

We also break up our riding so we stop every hour to 90 minutes, so you can stretch your legs and have a break. We also plan some fun visits and sights along the way too.

On some days, we'll stop a lot - some of the sights are worth getting off the bike for. In other days, we'll spend lots of time off the bike to explore a town, or do something fun.

Will there be off-road riding?



Currently, our routes are on-road only. We should have tarmac all the way, and you'll have no off-roading.

Some countries have a slightly more relaxed view on what a 'road' is - we'll try our best to avoid roadworks but they can happen at a moment's notice, so our guides will help you find the best routes on the day, too.

Do I need my own gear?



If you're riding your own bike, yes. As a minimum, you must bring a helmet, armoured jacket and jeans or trousers. We also thoroughly recommend a pair of motorcycle boots and gloves. If you need recommendations, please ask!

Our guides will always wear full safety gear including helmet, gloves, boots, and armoured jacket and trousers.

If you're hiring a bike, we may also be able to hire a helmet and some gear for you, so get in touch to find out what we can offer - but you can bring your own with you.

If I'm hiring a bike, can I bring my own helmet?



Yes! If you're flying to the starting point, we would recommend putting it in your hand luggage so it doesn't get bashed around.

You'll need a big enough bag, though. Or a small enough head.
